Frequently asked questions.
Do you offer in-person or virtual visits?
Both! I offer in-person visits at 1414 Key Highway which is conveniently located across the street from the Baltimore Museum of Art in Federal Hill. Virtual visits are done through my HIPAA compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Do you accept insurance?
I accept Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and EHP.
I have a different insurance company. Can I still see you?
Yes. My out-of-network rates are:
Initial intake session: $175
50-min psychotherapy sessions: $150
If you’d like, I can give you a detailed invoice, known as a “super bill,” which contains all the necessary information for you to request reimbursement from your insurance for our sessions. If you’d like to do this, I suggest you touch base with your insurance company to inquire about out-of-network benefits. Be sure to ask 1) Does your plan cover out-of-network mental health therapy visits, 2) Any deductible for out-of-network services 3) Once deductible is met, what percentage of the session cost will insurance reimburse for out-of-network visits.
How can I make an appointment?
I offer a free brief phone consultation to get started and determine if we might be a good match to work together. In addition to assessing fit, we’ll talk goals, my treatment style, and logistics. I’ll also be happy to answer any questions you might have. Feel free to CLICK HERE and submit your information.
You’re also welcome to contact me directly at (410) 881-3213 or megan@meganhenrytherapy.com
What can I expect at my first appointment?
During the initial session, we will spend about 50 minutes together. I will ask you questions to better understand your current situation and your background. We'll explore different treatment options, create a personalized therapy plan, and start defining goals for our upcoming sessions.
How long does therapy last?
The length of time in therapy can vary. Some indicators that it may be time to wrap up our time together:
You’ve met the goals we set at the beginning of our work together.
You feel more equipped to handle challenges and manage emotions.
You feel confident in applying the tools and strategies you’ve learned without regular support.
You decide that therapy with me does not seem helpful. In that case, I will work with you to find another provider that might be a better fit.
