About Me!
In my 11+ years as a therapist, I’ve had the joy of working with people of various ages and backgrounds. I specialize in helping adults dealing with anxiety, PTSD, depression, and substance abuse. I also love supporting new moms during pregnancy and the early days/years of parenthood.
As a Christian, I’m happy to weave faith into our sessions if that’s something you’re interested in, but I also respect and embrace the diverse perspectives my clients bring. I have a lot of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, and I’m all about creating an affirming and inclusive space for everyone.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me chasing my two little boys around, hanging out with my husband and friends, exercising, eating Cookies and Cream ice cream, and exploring all the cool things Baltimore City has to offer.
My Approach to Therapy
In my therapeutic approach, I integrate Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), various Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to offer comprehensive, personalized care. ACT and CBT provide practical tools to help you recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns, while mindfulness practices cultivate greater awareness of your emotional and mental states in the present moment. Parts work is also incorporated to explore and heal different aspects of yourself that may be at odds or in conflict.
This blend of approaches works synergistically. For instance, the mindfulness skills you develop help you observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment, which enhances the effectiveness of the cognitive techniques learned in CBT or ACT. EMDR complements this by targeting and resolving distress from past experiences, allowing for deeper emotional processing. Together, these tools not only support symptom relief but also foster lasting change, helping you build resilience and apply these strategies long after therapy has ended.

At the end of the day…
…setting the technical stuff aside, the relationship we build is at the heart of our work together. While you may cry and work through some challenging moments, we’ll also laugh and celebrate the good stuff. You’ll learn more about yourself and feel empowered to do more of what matters to you. We’ll collaborate to find what works best for you, adapting as needed to meet your unique needs. My goal is to provide care that truly values and honors you, with our connection being a vital part of that process.
